Pastor Johnny Gray is the founding pastor of The Abiding Faith Bible Ministry (AFBM)

Church, located in Forest Hill, Texas. He was born and raised in Fort Worth and holds a

Degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University. Pastor Gray served in the United

States Army, received an Honorable Discharge, and later retired from the Postal Service.

In 2011, he was called to the ministry, preached his first sermon in 2012, and began Pastoring

in 2017. He has previously held positions at Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church and Collins

Street Missionary Baptist Church, both in Fort Worth, Texas.

Abiding Faith Bible Ministry started in 2016 as a Thursday night Bible study group with only

four members. Pastor Gray believes that with God as their guide, they are encouraged and

excited about what God has in store for AFBM.

Pastor Gray is blessed and anointed by God to lead Abiding Faith Bible Ministry to become a

community of believers who strive to fulfill The Great Commission. He eagerly preaches,

teaches and leads lost souls to Christ. He is driven by Christ purpose to draw many to Him

and is firm in his teaching, devout in his living, and uncompromising in his preaching.

Pastor Gray has been married 47 years, to Ernestine Gray, and they have two very loving and

supportive children, LaKeisha (Shawn) and Jarmell (Kim); four grandchildren, Jhadae,

Jaylen, Alexus and Jurnee; and five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ella, Elias, DeAngelo, Jr. and

Emh’ri.

ERNESTINE GRAY, FIRST LADY

Ernestine Gray and her husband, Johnny L. Gray, are co-founders of Abiding Faith Bible

Ministry. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas and has worked in the Postal Service before

retiring. Mrs. Gray holds an Associate Degree in Organizational Management from Tarrant

County College and a BS Degree in the same field from Paul Quinn University in Dallas,

Texas, and she is currently pursuing her Masters’ degree in Christian Ministry from Dallas

Baptist University in Dallas. She is also a Certified Mediator and Investigator.

Mrs. Gray is deeply grateful for everything God is doing in her life and within the Abiding

Faith Bible Ministry. She has served in every capacity within the ministry, using her God-

given abilities to bring glory to Him.

Currently, Mrs. Gray serves as the Director of Women’s Affiars at Abiding Faith Bible

Ministry, where she oversees the women’s ministry.

She has been married to Johnny Gray for 47 years and they have two loving and supportive

children named LaKeisha (married to Shawn) and Jarmell (married to Kim). Additionally,

they have four grandchildren named Jhadae, Jaylen, Alexus, and Jurnee, as well as five

great-grandchildren named Elijah, Ella, Elias, DeAngelo Jr., and Emhri.

Abiding Faith Bible Ministry Church History

During the week of June 25, 2016, a small group of Tarrant County residents led by Rev. Johnny Gray and Ernestine Gay organized Abiding Faith Bible Ministry. On Thursday, June 30, 2016, Abiding Faith Bible Ministry started as a Bible Study group, which normally had 4-7 people weekly in attendance. Our first series studied was, “5 Steps to a Closer walk with God.

Our first ministry implemented was a Jar Ministry, which began in January 2017

The church was established on the 1st Sunday in February 2017, and Bible Study was changed at the point from Thursday night to Wednesday night

Sunday school was instituted within the church on the 1st Sunday in April (April 2, 2017)

Our membership as a church began with four people regularly in attendance and then grew to fourteen.

In addition to its short history of providing worship and education programs for its members, Abiding Faith Bible Ministry has maintained an innovative and active outreach program in the community, providing services and assistance to those in need and celebrating this period of service since its inception in 2016. Abiding Faith Bible Ministry church upholds the values and tradition inspired by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our Work in the Community

Abiding Faith Bible Ministry (AFBM) church is deeply committed

to community outreach and regularly organizes events and

projects to support and engage with the local population. In

addition, they offer mentorship programs to young men, providing

guidance and support to help them become great leaders. The

church also recognizes the importance of healthy relationships

and offers marriage counseling services. Through these various

initiatives, the church is positively impacting the lives of many

individuals and families in the area.

are dedicated to providing practical resources for the growth of Christians, which

can help pastors, churches, and individuals to reach their full potential in Christ. Our aim

is to encourage spiritual growth in individuals and churches, leading Christians to

maturity, and guiding all people towards Christ. Additionally, we strive to equip pastors

and Christian leaders with the necessary skills to enable them to do ministry work or to

equip others. Our goal is to reach out to those who are lost and bring them to the

knowledge of Christ. We aspire to become a global voice, offering spiritual and

economic hope to people everywhere. Our vision is to inspire and empower individuals

locally, nationally, and globally on their lifelong journey of faith.
